The Migraine Hub

A quiet library for a loud condition.

Migraine is more than a headache, and no two people experience it in quite the same way. This is a calm, practical space created to help you understand your familiar patterns, prepare for difficult days and build routines that feel supportive to you.

Softens accents and removes movement across the page. The hub provides general information only and is not a substitute for medical advice.

Lived experience

Created by someone who understands

I’m Stephanie, founder of Rapha Organics. After 18 brain surgeries and years of living with complex head pain, I understand how vulnerable and disruptive these days can feel.

Not My Grain began as something I wanted for myself: a portable, cooling botanical ritual I could keep close when life felt overwhelming. The Migraine Hub is where I share practical preparation, gentle routines and some of what I have learned through lived experience.

Understand

Understanding your familiar pattern

Migraine can present differently from person to person. Some people notice changes before head pain begins, while others experience little warning. Becoming familiar with your own pattern can help you record useful information and explain your experience more clearly to a healthcare professional.

  • Changes in mood or energy

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Neck stiffness

  • Food cravings

  • Visual disturbances or aura

  • Sensitivity to light, sound or smell

  • Nausea

  • Tiredness or frequent yawning

These experiences can have many causes and are not intended as a diagnostic checklist. Speak to a healthcare professional about new, changing or concerning symptoms.

Prepare

Create your migraine-ready plan

A little preparation can make difficult days feel less chaotic. Your plan should reflect your individual needs and the advice of your healthcare professional. Nothing you tap on this page is stored, sent or collected.

Prepare

Build your migraine-ready kit

Keeping a few familiar essentials together can make preparation simpler. Choose the items that reflect your needs and the guidance of your healthcare professional.

A gentle reminder

Check your kit regularly. Replace anything that has expired, refill anything running low and keep the kit somewhere easy to reach.

Create calm

Create a calmer environment

When the world feels too bright, too loud or too demanding, small adjustments may help your surroundings feel more manageable.

  • Reduce harsh light

Dim overhead lighting where possible. Close blinds, reduce screen brightness or use an eye mask if that feels comfortable.

  • Manage noise

Move to a quieter space, silence unnecessary notifications or use earplugs if appropriate.

  • Take screen breaks

Step away from the screen regularly and adjust glare, contrast and text size.

  • Keep water accessible

Place water somewhere easy to reach and follow any hydration advice given by your healthcare professional.

  • Prepare a resting space

Keep a comfortable, quieter area ready with the items you commonly reach for.

  • Ask for help

Let someone you trust know what practical support may be useful when you are unwell.
